Working group – Urbanized areas
Objectifs du groupe
Establish and expand an interdisciplinary platform that fosters territorial, collective, and concrete responses to the urgent challenges highlighted by IPCC scientists.
Proposals
- Building on and reinforcing what already exists
- Local structuring of the interdisciplinary research network on cities and urban territories : structuring an interdisciplinary network and ecosystem on the global theme of observing urban territories in transition.
- AST – Action scientifique transverse “Urbanized aeras” financed by the OMP – Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées: support cross-disciplinary scientific activities and extend them to our various laboratories and stakeholders (professionals, institutions, associations, etc.).
- Approach at different scales (metropolises, medium-sized towns, small towns, peri-urban areas… compared with cities in the North and South, etc.).
- And with different dimensions: the transition is itself multi-dimensional (ecological, social, demographic, energy, political, etc.).
The working group leaders
- Nadine Dessay (UMR 228 ESPACE-DEV)
- Aurélie Michel (ONERA-DOTA)
- Najla Touati (LISST, UT2J)
